ADVISING AND REGISTRATION All new freshman and transfer students are advised and registered during an on-campus or telephone appointment through the New Student Advising and Registration Office. Call (970) 382-6985 for an appointment. Advising begins November 20, 2006 for students admitted for Winter. Please read the “Advising Workbook” booklet prior to your appointment. New students should have received this booklet in the mail or you can download it from this web page. Students admitted for Winter are expected to be advised and registered by Monday, December 18, 2006. Students who are not registered by Monday, January 8, 2007 will incur a late registration fee. Students who are not registered by Friday, January 12, 2007 will encounter significant difficulties because after this date students must get the faculty member's signature on a paper add slip to enroll in any class. Because of the fast-paced nature of courses, many faculty will not consent to adding students to their classes after the first week. Textbooks that are reserved and are not picked up by January 12, 2007, will be returned to the shelves. The student will receive a credit for the purchase, minus the $10 reservation fee.
